Rajeev Chopra is the owner and founder of The MIS Department, a Chicago and Washington, DC-based IT consulting firm and Managed Service Provider (MSP), that has served civil society clients since 2000.
In addition to leading The MIS Department, Rajeev directed IT for the 2008 Obama campaign, and reprised that role as CIO for the 2012 Obama re-election campaign. His work on the presidential campaigns saw him oversee services for 900+ field offices and 6000+ staff.
During the 2016 election cycle, Rajeev helped lead the remediation efforts at the DNC in response to the data breaches that resulted from Russian cyberattacks.
With over 25 years experience working in IT for both political and private organizations, and his first-hand understanding of the security threats modern organizations face, Rajeev brings a wealth of experience to the table. His work has taught him that while IT solutions always begin with technology, they almost never end there.
